Lifestraw: access to clean, drinking water

•    Africa is facing a shortage of clean water

LC POste de SanteSOLEKTRA INT was keen to address this major issue and works with USAID to provide local populations with LIFESTRAW filters, which convert contaminated water using reverse osmosis systems into clean, safe drinking water.  These Lifestraw filters, produced by Swiss manufacturer, Vestergaard, are microbiological water filters that remove virtually all bacteria (99.9%), reducing the risks to local populations.

•    Solutions implemented by SOLEKTRA INT, USAID and its partners

LC ECOLESOLEKTRA INT was keen to address this major issue and has established a partnership with USAID to provide local populations with LIFESTRAW filters, which convert contaminated water using reverse osmosis systems into clean, safe drinking water.  These Lifestraw filters, produced by Swiss manufacturer, Vestergaard, are microbiological water filters that remove virtually all bacteria (99.9%), reducing the risks to local populations.

This partnership is based on two different models:
•    A community model, which can be installed in schools for up to 200 people
•    A portable, auto-filtering family model (4 or 5 people), which can safely store up to 25l of water for a secure storage.
Plus the portable kit (Lifestraw Go)
